Truro Gig Club Regatta

Sunday 7th June, here are some
final details about the event:
1. Car parking will be signposted off the main road leading to Loe Beach which runs through the
village of Feock. This parking is in some fields that we have borrowed for the day and will cost £3
per car.
2. The walk from the car park to the beach will take about 10 minutes, it is a steep windy road
leading to the beach, so be warned, no stilettos!
3. Gigs and trailers are to be parked in a field on the left hand side of the road in Feock (it will be
signposted as you get close) and a Truro tower will tow your gig to the beach, and bring the
trailer back and park it. For this reason we are asking you to arrive with your gig at XXXXX
(everyone has their specific time on their original copy of this info). Trailer drivers will be
entitled to a free bacon bap once they arrive at Loe beach.
4. Food and drinks will be available to purchase all day on the beach (from 8.30 am), we will have
bacon baps, cakes and tea and coffee provided by the rowing club and then there is a beach cafe
who are going to provide a special menu for the day so all tastes should be catered for.
5. We are aiming to make the event as plastic free as possible so please bring reusable bottles and
cups with you for refreshments.
6. We have a raffle for the day with some amazing prizes including St Austell brewery tour for 2
people, a 9 pint cask voucher for Doom bar, Restaurant vouchers, surf lesson for 2 people,
Budock spa day for 2 people and many many more. Tickets will be £1 each
7. Please make sure each club brings someone who can umpire one of the races
8. Coxes meeting will be at 10.30am with the first race starting at 11.30am.
9. The course is a kite course and will be visible from the beach, so please bring spectators as well
as rowers.
