Sunday 6th August 2023 saw the Under 14 Championships kick off at Copperhouse Pool in Hayle. Tucked inland protected from the wind and unaffected by tides, Copperhouse Pool was originally intended to be used as a storage reservoir to hold back water at high tide. On a dry Sunday in August, it makes the perfect location for a day of racing.
The Under 14 Championships 2023 was attended by 14 clubs with 21 crews between them, the crews battled away to take the crown. The clubs in attendance were:

- 3rd – Brixham
- Sportsmanship Award – Cadgwith C

There was great weather and conditions on the day. Lots of great races on the water with some fantastic crews. It was a great day that showcased some excellent rowing. There were lots of comments on how good the crews rowed and how good it looks for the future of gig rowing.“
