Mounts Bay Gig Club held their annual regatta over the weekend of 10th June after some very unpredictable high winds leading up to the event. Luckily the mist cleared just in time for a busy day of racing on the 1.6 mile course.
25 clubs took part in the event with Caradon picking up four trophies on the day, with their Women’s A finishing in a record time of 12.56. Their women’s and men’s crew also picked up a trophy, with their mixed crew also finishing in 1st place.
River Fowey Gig Rowing Club, Women’s A crew came 2nd in their event and their Women’s B crew came 3rd.
