Ilfracombe Pilot Gig Club are raising money for Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Rita, who is the mother of a club member was Sadly diagnosed with MND recently & her family have set up a GoFundMe page with the desire to raise as much money as possible to help research into this horrible disease, and we as a club want to help!
We are planning a Concept 2 rowing challenge, a virtual row from Ilfracombe to Southampton, where Rita lives.
That’s approximately 632 miles.
The event will take part the weekend of 15th / 16th July (rowing through the night). We are very excited that we will be able to use our brand new watersports hub to host the event.
We have lots of members taking part plus rowing friends from the wider community. We would love for as many people as possible to pop down and support us, maybe even hop on for a few metres- there will be cake!!
