Langstone Pilot Gig Club’s Annual Regatta on Saturday 30th July also represented the 4th out of 5 point scoring Jurassic League Regattas. The course at Langstone offers the opportunity of excellent vantage points of the entire race with the finish immediately in front of the cheering spectators. The clubs who race within the Jurassic League are Langstone, Poole, Portland, Weymouth, Swanage, Bridport, Lyme Regis, Sidmouth, Exmouth and Combwich. So far rowers have enjoyed getting back to rowing in 2022 with regattas at Weymouth, Swanage, Bridport and now Langstone and we look forward to the last point scoring regatta at Lyme Regis in two weeks’ time. Langstone have taken the lead and won each regatta so far and are hoping to retain this lead and win the Jurassic League for 2022 where trophies will be presented by the sponsors AEP Compressed Air Technologies at Lyme Regis.
