Exmouth’s Jurassic League Results

Exmouth Jurassic League Regatta – Saturday 29th June 2019

An amazing turnout of around 400 Gig Rowers enjoyed a highly competitive League Regatta at Exmouth in glorious sunshine on Saturday.

Bridport topped the League’s leader board and won four of the days race categories along with Lyme Regis who also achieved four category victories to finish 2nd with just one point separating the two clubs.

With a  further four League Regattas to go, it is impossible to call the likely category winners and each title remains up for grabs.

The present top six League positions after four Regattas are;

1st Bridport
2nd Langstone
3rd Lyme Regis
4th Swanage
5th Weymouth
6th Exmouth

Every League club has raised its standards this season and there is a keen rivalry between the crews with no one club dominating the racing.

Exmouth are to be congratulated upon hosting a brilliant Regatta which was a great showcase for Gig Rowing to the many holiday makers who lined the shoreline.

The next Jurassic League Regattas are at Bridport, Sidmouth, Lyme Regis with the final at Poole.
