All nine of the Jurassic Regional League clubs gathered at Weymouth for the first of the seasons eight regattas.
With around 300 rowers backed by a travelling band of very vocal supporters the popularity of League Regatta Rowing was never in doubt.
A keen rivalry between each club has developed over the past three years since the introduction of Regatta League Rowing, it was evident from the word go that everyone wanted to top the list of 8 racing categories forming the Jurassic League.
This year, for the first time the clubs are trialling the introduction of a new separately monitored league for Ladies and Men’s Supervets.
The regatta proved to be a day of ever changing fortunes, Weymouth dominated the early races, they were later to be later to be replaced by Lyme and Bridport who were joint leaders until the days last race for Mixed crews when Bridport finished 3 places ahead of Lyme in a race in which Langstone gained their first victory of the day.

After spending a day with non-stop sunshine and Rowing the present top 5 club league positions are as follows;
1st Bridport 20points
2nd Lyme Regis 23points
Joint 3rd Langstone 31points
3rd Swanage 31points
5th Weymouth 34 points
The Supervets League is as follows;
Ladies
1st Lyme Regis
2nd Bridport
3rd Swanage
