This year Caradon Gig Club will be hosting a Mixed Championships on Saturday 22nd June 2019. This event will be run from Jubilee/Brunel Green on the Saltash Waterfront and we will be racing up river (towards the Tavy).
The Green provides a fantastic vantage point for the racing and enables us to have quick changeovers. The Championships will coincide with the Saltash Town Regatta, so there will be plenty to keep you occupied in between races.
The cox’s meeting will be held at 8.30am with the first race at 9.00a.m.
Categories for the Championships
Juniors Under 15 years Mixed (3 boys / 3 girls)
Juniors Under 18 years Mixed (3 boys / 3 girls)
Mixed Open (3 men / 3 ladies)
Mixed Veterans (over 40s, 3 men / 3 ladies)
Mixed Super Vets (over 50s, 3 men / 3 ladies)
To enable us to run this event, we will need the assistance of other club’s willing to lend a gig for the day. If you are willing to lend a gig please indicate this on the entry form.
There will be an entry fee of £20 per crew, which includes a refundable deposit of £10 per crew (cash refund on the day at registration).

Closing date for entries will be Friday 31st May 2019
Once you have submitted your entry and your payment has been received, you will be sent further information regarding parking, the course, race format, and more. The road leading down to the waterside will be closed; therefore parking will be limited to towing vehicles only in the Waterside car park.
We are working extremely hard to make this a successful event and we hope that you will be able to join us on 22nd June.
