Lyme Regis Gig Club will be holding it’s inaugural Masters Regatta on Sunday 11th August 2019.
There will be ladies, men’s and mixed races. To take part, crew members will need to be aged 60 or over on the day of the regatta. The cox can be of any age.
The format is to be decided once entry numbers are known, although it is hoped that rowers should get at least two rows. The event will be capped at 18 boats, so clubs wishing to compete should register their interest as soon as possible. Those who would like to attend can email lrgcmasters@gmail.com.
Composite crews will be accepted, but need to be declared.
There is a dedicated Facebook page – ‘Cornish Pilot Gig Masters Rowing’, which rowers can use to communicate and potentially find additional rowers to make up a crew.
The masters regatta will be taking place a day after the Lyme Regis Open Regatta, which takes place on Saturday 10th August. Clubs interested in attending this event can contact Lisa on: lymeregisgigclub@gmail.com.
