Only park at Trebah, Helford Passage Car Park or on the left-hand side of the approach road to Helford Passage (‘top of the hill’); you will be directed.

Please do not walk on the road between the car park and Ferryboat beach – due to trailer movement. Use steps beside the pub or walk up under the arch to the car park.

Please listen and follow instructions from marshals for moving, unloading and loading of Gigs.

Coxswains to attend safety and race briefing.

Coxswains and any under 18 rowers must wear a lifejacket or buoyancy aid.

On leaving or arriving at the beach please follow instructions from the beach marshals.

In the event of a crew needing assistance while on the water please use Ch 72 and raise oars, as a visual signal, if safe to do so.

Safety boats will be monitoring Ch 72 VHF. First aiders will be present on safety boats and on the beach.

Gig Recovery

We aim to clear the beach of gigs as quickly and safely as possible.

To do this we ask that visiting clubs recover their gig to their trailer and then assist HRGC members to manhandle the trailer and gig to the road in the order directed by the Beach Marshals.

The aim is to get clubs with the furthest to travel away first.
