For those that would like to continue racing competitively, we are trying to arrange some Masters regattas, for those aged 60 or above.
To date Lyme Regis and Appledore have thrown their hats into the ring,
Lyme Regis, Sunday, 11th August 2019 (day after the Lyme Regis Open regatta)
Bring your own wooden boats
Ladies, Mens and Mixed, the aim being to give everyone the opportunity for 2 rows
Composite club teams will be allowed, eg 4 rowers from Lyme and 2 from another club
We hope to run some barbarians races also.
Appledore, date tbd 2019
Likely to be mixed rowing in GRP boats
Qualification will be 60 or above on the day of the regatta, that you are taking part in. Further information / invites to follow on both Facebook and Email.
Would any other clubs out there like to host a regatta – if not this year – then maybe next?
Ultimately it would be fantastic to create a ‘Super 60s Series’.

We hope this will be the place where masters events are advertised, photos posted, and communication takes place between rowers facilitating the building of composite teams for regattas if necessary.
Hopefully it could also be used to enable news of events where Masters’ teams could be entered.
This will be what we make it!

Torpoint may be up for next year as we are attempting to host a winter league regatta soon and will see how that works before deciding what we can do in the future.
