As Easter is so late this year Penryn Rowing Club is holding the River Race, not on Good Friday, but on Sat 23rd March 2019.
It starts at Boscawen Park, Truro, first boat away approx 17.15pm and goes down river turning buoys just up stream of the King Harry Ferry, and finishing opposite Tesco in Truro.
It is open to all rowing craft, but the Harbourmaster will not allow entries from paddleboards or kayaks. Plastic gigs are allowed, and start after the main field, turning their own buoy.
Registration will be from 14.00 to 16.30, coxes meeting 16.45. Entry fee is £2.50 per rower including raffle ticket.
Expressions of interest would be useful, and make-up of the crew needs to be with Penryn by Thurs 21st March 20.00, so they can do the handicapping.
Looking forward to a great 2019, hopefully not too many Beasts from the East disrupting things this year!
