Boat Rowing to Scilly for the Championships

The Island Voyagers crew hope to break the record for rowing around Britain later this year (more details in our GigRower newsletter on Scilly).

But before that attempt they are going to be rowing their boat over to the World Championships.

To help raise money, they’ve sent through this information about an offer they’d like to make to all rowers:

In preparation for rowing around Britain in July we are rowing out to the World Championships on Thursday leaving Penzance at 4.30am. Follow us over at https://my.tl/rowroundbritain   We all know what thirsty work rowing is so Sharps Brewery have donated a 5l keg of Doom bar. If you can guess the time it well takes the crew to row over the beer is yours in return for a donation to our chosen charity the Honeypot children’s charity – who provide respite care for young carers.
