Please find details below for a Level 2 rowing ‘Session Coach’ course British Rowing is running in Saltash in September.
This is not the same as the old UKCC Level 2 (now called ‘club coach’). The session coach is aimed at those running one off sessions as part of a wider programme.
There are no pre requisites other than 2 online free modules.
There are only 9 spaces (first come first served) and 3 have already been booked so move fast to guarantee a space.

Please can you clarify for me what the Oct 2nd date is for. If it is assessment… that is only 2 weeks after training, and the course details state it needs to be 6 weeks later. Are you able to clarify or should I go directly to BR and ask?
The coaching course is a level 2 session coach – a new course which is different from the old level 2 (now known as club coach).
The course is assessed internally so no need for a final independent assessment ( like the club coach) more details on the differences can be found at:

So is this specifically for gig rowing only? There doesn’t seem to be one available in UK.
On my return from Bermuda I will share a gig rowing coaching course that has been devised over the last three years and taught out here in Bermuda by an English GIG rowing coach.
