3 of Langstone Adventure Rowing’s Gigs will be available for sale after the Scillies World Championships. They will all be at the event so can be viewed there.
a) Gig Shearwater, builder D Currah, built in 1996, acquired from Rock Gig Club and a very nice, light boat well maintained, smart floorboards with a set of relatively lightly used, medium/ladies oars; boat, oars and trailer: £15,500.
b) Gig Amelie; Ralph Bird 1993, (formally known as Isis) recently refurbished, 4 position footrests), she has a lightly used set of men’s oars. A fast boat, she was used in the Scillies in 2014 and 2015 – where she helped win 2 Group Races for the Langstone Cutters. Boat Oars and trailer: £14,750 to buy.
c) Gig Speculation; T Chudleigh 1987. She has just been returned from a year leased to the Yarmouth Gig Club. Refurbished in 2014 and again in 2016 to make her watertight; She has suffered from neglect in the past, is not a pretty boat and needs to be used regularly to keep her watertight; Oars are not great, but a working wooden training Gig. £9,000.00 ono to buy with oars and trailer.
All three will be at the Scillies to see; we also lease/hire purchase these Gigs if it makes sense for the Club and LAR.
