As usual, great organisation from Helford River Gig Club, for their annual River race between Helford and Gweek. The conditions meant a change to the usual straight line course, with the strong easterly winds meaning it was safer to start the races off Port Navas, with the gigs having to race into the wind to begin with, before returning up river.
As usual, there were also flashboats and skiffs taking part. But this year there was also a dragon boat!
Well done to Truro who were the winning gig.
