Nankersey Gig Club had their new plastic training gig blessed last Saturday, accompanied by a good turnout of supporting boats from other local clubs.
Cygnet is the new gig which will be kept alongside the club’s other boats at Mylor. The glass-reinforced plastic gig, paid for by Sport England and built by Trevor Deakin, was blessed by the Reverend Andrew Stevenson from Flushing and christened with a bottle of beer from the Rebel Brewing Company.
