On the 17th and 18th January 2014 Newquay Sports Centre will play host to a weekend of indoor rowing competition,
17th January – Cornwall School Games – Open to all Cornish Secondary Schools, ran by Cornwall Sports Partnership & British Rowing. Please encourage your local schools to enter, all information is with heads of PE.
18th January – Cornwall Indoor Rowing Competition. Open to adults and juniors there will be 2,000m, 500m and relay challenges. This could be a great opportunity to post times for club winter training, or just to have a bit of fun in the relay competition. All information here:

Also if any clubs are interested in gaining funding to run 6 weeks ‘learn to row’ for 14-25 year olds – SPORTIVATE funding is now open across all counties – more info on the programme here: and a video on gig rowing here:
