2 Castles Race – 13th October 2013

Well the 2013 is nearly over, just the 2 Castles, Helf0rd River Race and MPM that I can think of still to go. Has it felt like a long season to you as well?

 

Two Castles Gig Race

National Maritime Museum Cornwall would like to invite your Gig club to enter the Two Castles Gig Race on the afternoon of Sunday 13th October, exact start time to be confirmed.

Cars and trailers will park at the Park and Ride/Float site at Ponsharden, and gigs will launch from there.

DO NOT DRIVE TO THE MUSEUM CAR PARK, AS NO PARKING OR LAUNCHING FACILITIES WILL BE AVAILABLE. After the race and prize giving, all gigs will return to Ponsharden and be recovered from there.

The event is open to all gig clubs, by invitation only, with the race taking place on a course from a point off St Anthony’s Head to.the National Maritime Museum

• Men’s crew
• Ladies crew
• Mixed crew
• Men’s veterans crew
• Ladies veterans crew
• Men’s supervets
• Ladies supervets

After the race, all gigs will moor alongside the Museum’s pontoon, with a prize giving ceremony and free beer and pasties for the crews in the Museum. Don’t forget to collect a ticket after the race for entry into the free prize draw.

Please fill in the application form for each gig and return to Sarah Bibby by 28th were a winner last year, can I ask you to please return trophies to the NMMC by Monday 7th
