A great evening for a race – bright sunny backdrop with gigs silhouetted against the Mount as soon as we left the beach. Half a dozen basking sharks and pretty calm conditions just occasionally choppy around the headlands. Thanks to Porthleven GC for putting on the event, we had a great time and are looking forward to doing it again! Results – (assuming the race started at 7.10pm!)

The Annual “Across the Bay” race, from St. Michael’s Mount to Porthleven for the Kenneth Matthews Memorial Cup is to be held on Wednesday 10th June, race starting at 7:00pm.
Do you know if this is a mixed or mens/womens race and what time crews need to arrive for coxwains meeting etc?
18:30 coxes meeting but limited numbers and mixed only I think due to finish @ Porthleven. Check with Jo at Porthleven Gig Club – I’ll email you her details direct.
