There have been a few e-mails in the last couple of months expressing an interest in reviving sea rowing in Scotland. In the absence of an existing one design, the Scots are possibly looking to the Cornish Pilot Gig as a good choice.
To raise awareness there is a possibility that a Scottish crew might attend a regatta to row in a borrowed gig sometime during the season. As soon as we hear which regatta, we hope that one club might be able to help and loan a gig.
No doubt at some stage during the season, if they make it this far south, a warm welcome will be extended from the gig rowing family.
Thank you to Anne CC for this info.

Do you have contact details for the potential Scottish gig rowers? I’m an ex-Truro rower currently living and working on Scotland’s west coast and suffering withdrawal pangs from sea rowing
Hi Sally, I am not sure your best bet is to email Anne from the CPGA on Theobosula@aol.com. Cheers Toby 😉
