With the World Pilot Gig Championships in the Isles of Scilly just weeks away Appledore Pilot Gig Club is pleased to introduce a new sponsor, The Commodore Hotel, Instow.
Members of the club joined Club Chairman Len White in the grounds of the Commodore Hotel where he received a cheque for £2000 from Gary & James Woolaway on behalf of the hotel.
The Commodore’s Owners have taken a keen interest in the progress of the club, with the pilot gigs Verbena, Whitford and Siren a common site on the river in front of the hotel. After the presentation club members enjoyed a relaxing drink on the hotel terrace before returning to the hard task of training for the coming regatta season.
