DESCRIPTION:Invitation to participate \nSunday July 16  \n“BOSBAAN MIXED PILOT GIG Regatta 2017 \nDear Friends\, \nThe Royal Netherlands Yacht Club\, KNZ&RV\, will organize this summer a unique race on a unique location: a relative short board-to-board race for Cornish Pilot Gigs for MIXED teams (3F + 3M) on the Amsterdam Bosbaan. The course was built in 1936 as part of an employment project and originally had five lanes\, but was then widened to six lanes. The Bosbaan hosts many international championships like the “Koninklijke Holland Beker”. \n  \n\nNo need to ship your gig. We have Cornish Pilot Gigs available.\nAn early start at around 10 am and finishing the event around 2 pm\nA 2.2 km board-to-board race. By bike the whole race can be followed.\nSix gigs per heat. 1st and 2nd heats determine the qualification; 3rd and 4th the finales A and B. Heats 1 and 2 will be rowed directly after one another followed by the B final and the A final.\nFacilities like showers and toilets are available.\n\n  \nThe race will be open for 2 English teams out of a total of 12 teams.
