Portishead Launch ‘Black Nore’

251 0

It was great to see Portishead Gig Club have a successful launch of their first CPGA registered pilot gig.

Portishead wish to thank everyone who braved Storm Diedre to support PPGC and the naming of their new racing gig, BlackNore.

BlackNore, formely Idas of Falmouth Gig club, is the number 51 in the CPGA fleet built by the great Ralph Bird which has seen success at the highest level winning the World Pilot Gig Championship in her early years.

The ceremony was followed by festive drinks and mince pies at Hall & Woodhouse, Portishead. They pass on thank you’s to Celebrant Celebrations for leading the ceremony and to the mighty Falmouth Pilot Gig Club for the privilege of providing them with such a phenomenal racing gig which they hope to maintain her successful pedigree!

We a GigRower wish you all the best and success in the future.
