‘BlackNore’ Naming Ceremony – Portishead Pilot Gig Club

222 0

On the 16th December, Portishead will be formally naming their newly acquired racing gig, formerly ‘Idas’ of Falmouth; ‘BlackNore’

The name comes from a well known headland point on the Severn estuary which features an iconic lighthouse built in 1894.

Portishead welcome everyone to join them on Sunday 16th December to celebrate the naming of their new racing gig BlackNore. They will be meeting outside Hall & Woodhouse at 2:30pm for a special naming ceremony with the wonderful Christine Ford. Once BlackNore has been showered in local Somerset cider, Portishead will be heading inside H&W for some warming mince pies and more cider of the mulled variety.

We wish you all the best with the launch!
