North Devon Crew Buzzing After Raising Over £3k In Great River Race

625 0

A mixed vets crew from Torridge Pilot Gig club took part in the Great River Race on Saturday Sept 7th 2018, dressed as North Devon Honeybees. They completed the race in 2 hours 50 minutes and received a buzzing as they crossed the finish line. They raised over £3,100 for two charities – North Devon Hospice and Families In Grief, and donations are still coming in.

A representative from the club said “We are very proud. Not just having completed the race in our beloved gig Kerens, but coming in 20th place out of the 49 Gigs that took part was the honey on the cake!”

Congratulations to the North Devon Honeybees, and indeed to all the gig crews who completed the Great River Race 2018.
