The World Pilot Gig Championships for 2018 has drawn to a close and boats are slowly making their way back to the mainland, complete with a new Men’s World Champion crew for Looe, and Caradon holding onto their title for the Ladies’.
With this, the regatta season looks to kick off again, traditionally starting with the Zennor Regatta on the 19th of May. Racing starts at 12 noon with many crews keen to pick up where they left off at the World Champs, hoping to put in some good performances.
With a busy calendar this year there are plenty of races to attend and watch, in what makes for an exciting season. Adding to the success of Gigrower’s live coverage of the World Champs, our media and drone team will be scouting some of this year’s regattas to bring them LIVE to your phones, tablets and laptops.
All of us at GigRower are looking forward to this season and will try and bring you all the latest results and coverage straight to your fingertips.
