The Event further below has been cancelled, a webinar will be hosted instead;
As promised, please find a sign up sheet you can share for a clean sport webinar on the 31st May at 7 – 8pm. https://goo.gl/forms/
This webinar is free to attend and all you need is a computer to join the Google Hangout.
Spaces are limited and will close on the 28th May so that pre-reading and sign up instructions can be sent out.
If we do get a large amount of interest then I will look at running a second webinar on the same evening.
Any questions, please don’t hesitate to let me know,
Anti-Doping & Integrity Officer | British Rowing
From Elaine Buck, Castle Dore RC
Please see the attached poster (at the bottom of the post) with details of a British Rowing Clean Sport Workshop. Castle Dore Rowing Club based in Golant on the river Fowey would like to invite you to attend one of these workshops on Sunday the 20th May at 1:00pm.
This is a free workshop which is open to all athletes, coaches and parents who would like to know more about doping in sport. Many of us take for granted that these sort of rules and testing for doping is reserved for elite athletes competing for their country and assume that these rules do not really apply to those of us at grass roots level. However, we have been informed that some testers have been attending provincial regattas and could in fact turn up to any event at any time.
Registration for this event is not necessary and it is free to attend. However, if any representatives from your club would like to attend then please could you let us know (mainly so that we can make sure there is enough coffee and cake to go around). If possible, let us know by Monday 14th May. Exact numbers are not necessary so please do feel free to bring additional numbers on the day. Please also feel free to forward this email to any other clubs/parties that may be interested, the workshop would be relevant to other sporting events as well as rowing.
We look forward to welcoming you on 20th May.
