Jeremy Webb has been in touch to offer rowers an unusual way of getting to or from this year’s Pilot Gig World Championships.
Jeremy says “In July this year I am rowing around Britain in an Atlantic rowing boat. The crew is made up of two rowers from Ilfracombe Pilot Gig club and 1 from Lyme Regis Gig Club and 1 non gig rower. As part of the preparation we are going to be rowing out to the Scillies and taking part in the World Championships. Due to work commitment we are not all able to row out and back so we have a couple of spaces.
“We would be leaving from the Cornwall on the Thursday morning and returning on the Monday morning. The distance is approximately 40 NM and we estimate we would take 10 hrs. So if you have ever fancied rowing in an Atlantic rowing boat and would like to arrive or leave in a unique way then please get in touch via our facebook page @islandvoyagers or email firstname.lastname@example.org ”
