Months of teamwork between wounded armed forces veterans, renowed gig builder Andrew Nancarrow and the National Maritime Museum Cornwall, culminated yesterday in the launch of the newest gig on the circuit, H4H Valiant. It will next be rowed by veterans from Falmouth to St. Mary’s on the isles of Scilly, before being raced by a crew from the Help for Heroes charity in this year’s World Championships.
The official launch was blessed with sunny, windless conditions just outside the museum. A fantastic turnout of at least 500 supporters were there, along with a military band.
