The Club race- The Tamar Challenge takes place this Saturday, please come and support if you can!
21 clubs are taking part are:
Swanage, Bude, Caradon, Portland, St Goran, Boscastle and Crackington, Looe, Lyme Regis, Clovelly, Port Isaac, RM Tamar, Rame, Truro and Cotehele Quay
Timings for the day:
09.30- Preparation for launching Teylu, Cream and Zeus
10.00- Gigs launched for the row down to Saltash. Coxes are John Pritchard, Nigel, Mike/Phil, with social members rowing. We will have Truro and Crackington Haven crews joining us on the row down.
13.30- All gigs need to be at Saltash
14.00- Coxes briefing
15.00- Race starts
This is a 9 mile, handicap race, and Cotehele have 3 crews taking part, 2 men’s and one ladies.
Through the morning, trailers will be arriving at Cotehele from Saltash and they will be parked in the field behind the car park.
16.00- First boats start to approach Cotehele Quay and the Finish line!
Trophies for first past the post and the fastest gig.
16.00 onwards, refreshments available at the Quay. We have permission from the National Trust for a barbecue, and there will be hot drinks, soup and cakes.
