For the fourth year in succession, the Falmouth Men’s A crew rowed to victory in the County Championships this weekend. Caradon came in second, followed by Fowey and Penryn.
Matt Pullen, Alice Maxted (Cox), Adam Evans, Fergus Muller, Adam Anderson, Simon Mosses and Tim Bowden comprised the winning crew.
Club captain Greg Carroll said: “It has taken many years of hard training to make it four in a row in the County Championships.”
The men’s event saw a total entry of 90 crews taking part in the two day championships. Newquay Rowing Club chairman John Cuthill said:
“There was a light breeze so we weren’t fighting the conditions like we have been in recent years. It was a memorable occasion.”
