Land’s End to Scilly Isles Row

June 13-16th 2013

The charity challenge to row from the Scilly Isles to Land’s End and return in time for the Deloitte Ride Across Britain arrival at Land’s End on June 16th 2013.

The Row will raise money for the Bath Rugby Foundation, which works with disabled and disadvantaged children through their Education and Inclusion programmes.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2013, the Bath Rugby Foundation is an independent charity, funded by grants and donations from businesses and individuals.

In 2012 22,500 children were helped by the activities of the Foundation and over 125,000 children have been helped since it started in 2003.

The Challenge

We plan to take 3 or 4 plus boats across to the Scilly Isles on the Thursday night. We have glamping accommodation booked fro the weekend.

The Friday we will row together around the island to acclimatise.

The Saturday we will to row back to Land’s End.

The Sunday we will row around the rock in Sennon as a warm down and BBQ with the Sennon Gig club and then go and meet the cyclists coming in from John O’Groats.

As the event is weather permitting the local rows (Around IOS and Sennon Rock) will be done if the ultimate challenge can’t be.
