Support needed for solo row round Cornwall

947 0

This summer I will be rowing round the Cornish coastline in a 15ft skiff as a fundraising event for my solo Atlantic row due to take place in December 2013.

I am calling on all rowing and sailing clubs to support me in my row round Cornwall in whatever way you can… This could be by accompanying me in your own boats as I row through your club’s bit of coastline, or offering a place to moor up and rest overnight, or coming along and shaking buckets at tourists to raise a bit of money when I stop at various places.

If you think you can help please get in touch – or 01822 832161.

I plan to begin the row near Bude around the 21st of July 2012, and end at my home club, Calstock, on the 11th/12th August.

I have rowed a large part of the Cornish coastline and beyond in an ocean rowing boat for training prior to the ARR 07/08. We rowed 200 miles from Fowey to Southampton for a training row. I can give you some tips if you want. Rowing the coast can be a lot more dangerous than rowing the open ocean at times.
