38 people took part in the December challenge of the Cornish Indoor Rowing League, which was 643m, the length of the Tamar Bridge. The league has been set up to support and encourage indoor rowing activity in Cornwall and beyond! The first month saw entrants from CPGA clubs (Falmouth / Bristol / Mevagissey / Caradon), lesuire centre rowers and individuals. The fastest times were posted by Adam Anderson & Mel Murray, both of Falmouth Gig Club.
The January Challenge is 30 minutes. (A tribute to the A30!) All you need to do to enter is set the rowing machine to 30mins, complete the challenge and take a snap of the screen on completion and email to [email protected]. Most Cornwall Council gyms have trained staff and log cards for you to use, just look out for the posters which will be going up in the centres. You don’t need to be an ergo king / queen to enter, it could be just about setting yourself a personal challenge.
