The BBC have been filming the new Monty Halls documentary in Cadgwith since May 2011, The Big Catch. This is all about life in Cadgwith and the small fishing fleet. Monty Halls has been working with the fishermen, volunteering with the Lizard lifeboat and rowing with Cadgwith Gig Club and it’s all been filmed for the new documentary to be out summer 2012. For those of you who come to Buller Day this year, you would have seen some of the filming going on and may well end up being on the tv, especially those who rowed in the Men’s B!
Monty is going to be giving a talk on Monday 19th December at Ruan Minor Village Hall from 7.30 on the highs and lows of making the series. Entry is £3 on the door and all proceeds from this will be going to Cadgwith Gig Club. There will be refreshments, a bar and an auction – so bring your pennies and help support us.
Monty will also be giving a sneak preview of his new documentary all about the Great Barrier Reef – due to be shown January 2012.
