SLAC (Scilly Lowtide Adventure Challenge) is a new adventure race happening on the Isles of Scilly on September 29th. It takes place on one of the lowest spring tides of the year making it possible to wade between most of the islands. It involves teams of two running, cycling, swimming and kayaking from island to island over a period of 3-4 hours.
After a successful trial run in 2010 we’re starting small with only 10 teams this year and with an entry fee of only £15 per person.
It follows the day after the now well-established Inter-island walk and the newly revived 2.5 k Tresco to St. Mary’s Quay to Quay swim. All events are raising money for four marine charities, primarily RNLI.
