Weymouth Rowing Club would like to invite you to the third Tribute Event of the 2011 season to be held on Saturday 2nd July 2011. The racing will take place in Newton’s Cove, with viewing from the Nothe Gardens and crew changeovers on the Stone Pier.

* The C Race will be run in 2 heats (men then ladies), which will go out together, so if you have both mens and ladies C crews you will need two boats
A Representative of your Club will need to register your crews as soon as you arrive. This will take place at the Information Tent, which will be situated by the PA trailer.
Presentation of Trophies will be after the Mixed Race. If you won a Trophy last year can you please ensure it is returned, thank you. This year our sponsor will be providing a prize and a new trophy for the overall winner on the day.
Information for Towers
For gigs arriving on Friday evening: Gigs must be taken to the secure car park at the ferry port, behind Weymouth Pavilion, DT4 8DX. For this you will need to approach the Esplanade via the Dorchester Road as the A353 at King Street is closed to west bound traffic.
Launching and retrieving gigs on Saturday: gigs will be unloaded/loaded between 8:00am and 10:00am from the public slipway in the inner harbour- near the Debenhams store on Commercial Road, DT4 8NG.
During the day on Saturday Gig trailers are being stored on Westham bridge, which is a short distance along Commercial Road from the public slipway.
Any gigs staying overnight on the Saturday will need to be towed to the secure car park at the ferry port, behind Weymouth Pavilion, DT4 8DX
Towing vehicles will be given a ticket for free parking in the pavilion car park or the car park at the Nothe Gardens. Please collect this from the Club Member at the public slipway on the Saturday morning.
We have a number of tickets for discount car parking in the Nothe Gardens car park – these will be handed out on a first come first served basis. There is also some free parking available along Barrack Road, which leads up to the Nothe Gardens.
Further, privately owned, parking can be found in Brewers Quay area, but be mindful to not go over time as it is CCTV operated and will fine you through the post if you are late
Camping and Weymouth Hospitality
Camping is available overnight on Friday and Saturday in the Nothe Gardens (DT4 8UF). Camper vans can be accommodated in the reserved car park. The cost is £10 per tent/camper van.
The famous food tents will be ready for action from 7am for Breakfasts, with food available throughout Saturday and Sunday morning. We are conscious that Clubs have to travel to row with us so we do try and look after you all. We can promise spectacular views of the racing, a Saturday night party and a weekend of Weymouth’s night life.
Weymouth Rowing Club Regatta runs alongside the “Spirit of the Sea Maritime Festival” which is a legacy event for the London 2012 Olympic Games. More information about the regatta is available on our website www.weymouthrowingclub.co.uk
