Invitation to the Ginsters’ Mixed & Veterans Championships 2011
We would like to invite you to enter this year’s Mixed & Veterans Championships which we are hosting once again in Saltash. Due to the success of running the event over two days last year, we will be once again following that format. The Mixed championships (including Juniors Mixed) will take place on Saturday 9th July 2011, with the Veterans Championships taking place on Sunday 10th July 2011.
As in previous years, the event will be run from Jubilee Green and we will be racing up river (towards the Tavy). Jubilee Green provides a fantastic vantage point for the racing and enables us to have quick changeovers. The Championships will, once again, coincide with the Saltash Town Regatta, so there will be plenty to keep you occupied in between races, including a continental market and children’s entertainment.
The coxswains meeting on both days will be at 8.30am and the first race will start at 9 a.m. prompt. As you will know from previous years there are a lot of races to get though, therefore we ask you to get out on the water as quickly as possible, and to note that crews not on the start line in time will be disqualified.

Please complete the entry form, to be returned by Friday 17th June 2011 by post with a returnable deposit cheque made payable to the CPGA for £50 per crew entered. No entries will be accepted via email or on the beach and any entries received after this date will not be accepted. Deposits will only be returned to those crews who compete on the day. The CPGA website will be updated daily with the list of entries received.
Once you have registered your crews and your deposit(s) have been received, you will be sent a pack containing information on parking, camping, the course, race format, and more. The road leading down to the waterside will be closed; therefore parking will be limited to 2 vehicles per club (in the waterside car park). A park and ride system will be in place to get the rest of you down to the river.
We are working extremely hard to make this another successful and event, and we hope that you will be able to join us in some fantastic racing.
