British Rowing News :: Message from Tom Pattichis

Hi all,

I just wanted to let everyone know that I recently successfully applied for a Talent Development coaching job, at a new GB Rowing ‘Start’ centre which is being set up in Gloucester. My last working day in my current role of British Rowing Team Leader will be Friday 23rd July, and i’ll be moving up to Gloucester in August.

As many of you know a full time coaching position is something i’ve been working towards for some time, so while i’m sad to be leaving this is a great opportunity for me, and one which i’m very much looking forward to taking on.

Having been based in the region for seven years i’ve had the pleasure of working with a lot of different clubs and organisations, and meeting a lot of really great people. To be honest you can’t ask for a better job than one which allows you to do your hobby for a living, whilst also getting to travel around one of the nicest parts of the country. Rowing has a great history in this region, and I hope that in the time i’ve been based here that i’ve helped things to move forwards. I know rowing in this region will continue to thrive and develop further in the future.

Thanks again.

Tom.
